The growth of volumes is associated with rising fuel prices, the overall indication of electric vehicles and VAT’s expected return to custom clearance since 2026.
In July, the record of 9716 electric vehicles was registered in Ukraine – 9.8% more than June, and 41.1% more than last year. This was reported by the Institute for Research Authorism.
Analysts indicate three major growth factors: rising fuel in price, general cost reduction and improving the properties of electric vehicles, as well as VAT’s expected return to the custom clearance of such cars from January 1, 2026. This is the last factor that is probably the most quantimulating demand, because after the VAT introduction, the electric cars can increase almost a third.
The structure of the market in July seems to be following:

Imported used de -electrical cars -5154 pcs. (53%)

Internal sale – 3010 pc. (31%)

New Electric Cars – 1552 PC. (16%)
The number of registered new electric vehicles has also been a record for Ukraine. In July, the head of the Byd song with the electric car was the leader of the new cars.

The total electric vehicle (BEV) in Ukraine by the end of July 2025 has 178 thousand units (excluding industrial cars, trolleybus and train equipment). To them:

Cars – 173.2 thousand.

Trucks – 3.7 thousand.

Electronic buses – 8 pcs.

Motika – almost 1.1 thousand.
In the park structure, the first place in part is Tesla – 19.9%, then Nissan is located – 19.4%and Volkswagen – 12.8%.
Analysts predict a further increase in demand until the end of 2025, after which it expects a short -term decrease in market activity. According to separate estimates, in 2026 it is possible to fall sales by 50-70%, followed by stagnation until 2030.
Remember that in Ukraine the demand for fuel cars has fallen. For six months, Ukraine’s Armada has been replenished 12.2 thousand new cars with fuel machines, 14% less than last year.
It was also reported that from January to June 2025 nearly 33 thousand new cars were sold in Ukraine.
