Last year, Germany’s total public debt reached 2510.5 billion euros (more than 2.5 trillion euros). The figure considers the debts of federal and local levels, as well as social insurance funds to banks and private companies.

The federal government debt by the end of 2024 reached 1,732.7 billion euros – 2.1% more than last year. The debts of federal lands also increased by 2.1%, up to 607.3 billion euros.
Debt growth has become the fastest in municipal cities and associations – they rise by 10.3%, up to 170.5 billion euros.
At the same time, total debts in the field of Social Security have been reduced by almost 74% and make up only 10 million euros.
Keep in mind that the cost of Ukraine’s public debt in late June reached $ 184.84 billion, rising $ 3.88 billion a month.
