More than a third of businesses who stopped working this year have worked for less than two years. 22% of them opened last year, another 15% in 2023.
In Ukraine, in April-June of 2025, 73,799 FLP opened, which was 3% lower than last year. Such data has been published by Opendatabot.
It was noted that 51,830 businesses stopped their work. It was 27% less than the same period last year. In total, 137,557 new FLPs were registered in the first half of 2025, but 157,605 entrepreneurs closed.

According to the study, the entrepreneurs often choose trade – both retail (39.5 thousand new FLPs) and wholesale (10.7 thousand). The popular areas also include: this, information services and the provision of other individual services.
Most of the new FLP was opened in Kyiv – 18.8 thousand; In the Dnipropetrovsk region – 13 thousand; In the Lviv region – 10.4 thousand.
In Kyiv, 20.6 thousand FLP closed. In addition, in the number of closed FLPs, there are Kharkov (13.6 thousand) and Dnepropetrovsk (13.6 thousand) regions.
Earlier it was reported that since the beginning of the year in Ukraine, 44% of FLP closed more than last year.
