To date, cherries offer these fruits at a price of 115-160 UAH/kg, which is on average 18% cheaper than a week ago.
In Ukraine, cherries become cheaper again. Manufacturers are forced to reduce prices in this segment due to the rapid degradation of the qualitative properties of bone data due to weather conditions. This was reported by the analysts of the Eastfruit Project.
So, if last week the average wholesale prices for Cherries in Ukraine did not fall below 140-200 UAH/kg, then this week they began to quickly drop into the south and middle regions of the country. Today, cherries offer these fruits for sale at a price of 115-160 UAH/kg, which is on average 18% cheaper than a week before.
At the same time, most market operators have noticed a relatively large percentage of unwise products during this time.
“The abundant rainfall significantly reduced the quality properties of cherries, the deadline for implementing such a berry is quite limited. In this situation, most manufacturers have decided to reduce vacation prices for these fruits to speed up sales rates in this segment,” the analysts said.
However, they added, now prices for cherries in Ukraine are still 95% than the same period last year. At the same time, major players in the market will not exclude additional cheaper costs in this segment from next week. They focus on their opinion by the fact that the supply of cherries in the market continues to grow, but the quality of the suggested berry leaves more desired.
Keep in mind that in Ukraine the losses of the peaches and apricots in some farms have reached 100%. The reason is the frosts and relatives of the droughts that hit the gardening in Ukraine.
