The Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo has appointed the new board chairman. He is the current member of the Board, the director of the United Energy System (SEC) of Ukraine Vitaly Zaichenko, the company said on Monday, June 23.
It is indicated that all seven members of the Supervisory Board are unanimously voted for the new leader’s candidacy. He should take a new position from July 1st.
“I’m sure the company is waiting for an effective reboot, development and effective cooperation with international partners,” said the Energy Minister, German Galushchenko, showing the new chairman of the Ukrenergo board.
Vitaliy Zaichenko began working in Ukrenergo in the 1990s. He went from an engineer to the main dispatcher of Ukraine’s United Energy System (since 2015). At the beginning of the full -scale invasion of Russia, it was Vitaliy Zaichenko’s professional skills that first helped transfer Ukrainian energy system to an isolated mode of operation, and then attach it to the continent energy regulating.
Also, the professionalism of the team of dispatchers, led by Vitaly Zaichenko, has made it possible to maintain the management of the Ukrainian energy system in the conditions of Russia’s massive attack on generational objects and electrical delivery systems.
Remember, on February 5 of this year, a competition was announced in the selection of the new chairman of the Ukrenergo Board. And in September 2024, Alexei Brecht was appointed temporary performer of the Board Chairman’s duties.
