For Ukraine, the disaster will not build blocks No. 3-4 of Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant, says German Galushchenko.
The issue of buying in Bulgaria two blocks for the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant is not closed. It was said by the Energy Minister, German Galushchenko, within an hour of government questions at Verkhovna Rada on Friday, June 20.
“The question is not closed yet, no official denial,” he said.
According to Galushchenko, negotiations are now resurrected. Thus, the Ministry of Energy plans to attract Magate as one of the leaders in implementing the completion of the HEC. The minister announced the hope that the necessary documents would be signed.
In his opinion, for Ukraine, a catastrophe was not complete blocks No. 3-4 of khmelnitsky nuclear power plant. The successor to Bulgaria blocks can be equipment from other countries, but it has been a loss of at least 3-4 years.
Galushchenko believes that domestic political movements in Bulgaria, which slow down the sale of reactor corps, has occurred, including under the influence of Russia.
He added that “the Magate cooperation ministry has found several opportunities to push Bulgaria into the implementation of the project.”
As you know, on April 15, Vice-Prime Minister Atanas Zafiro said his country would not be sold to Ukraine two Russian reactors with an unfinished nuclear power plant, planning to use for Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant. Reactors are a major owner of Bulgaria and an element of its freedom of energy, he explains.
Remember, on February 11, Verkhovna Rada allowed Energoatom to buy reactor units in Bulgaria for the completion of two power units of Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant. After that, President Vladimir Zelensky signed the law. At the same time, for the actual start of completion, parliament must adopt a separate law.
The Power Unit No. 3 of the Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant is 75%ready, and Block No. 4 – by 25%. Energoatom believes it is possible to complete them for three and five years, respectively.
