In June, meat prices increased dramatically in Ukraine, as the cost of young vegetables and eggs would decrease. It was reported at the grocery monitoring of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business, published Monday, June 16.
Prices for the vegetables of the past yield continue to grow. The borsch index in one month decreased by 12%, but in the annual size grew 27%, reaching 196 UAH. It’s 26 UAH cheaper than last month, if the expense of the dish is 222 UAH.
The analysts recorded the greatest change in the meat market, where prices were upward. In particular, beef (GouLash) climbs 6% per month to 336 UAH/kg, which is 20% more expensive than last year.
Death shows faster growth: the fillet rises 11% to 222 UAH/kg (+39% per year), the thigh – by 28% to 154 UAH/kg (+39% per year), and the body – by 25% to 110 UAH/kg (+42% per year).
At the same time, the price of pork shakes remained stable at 330 UAH/kg, which, however, was 31% higher than last year. Significant increase in chicken price is slightly explained by increasing the cost of the feed, beef is becoming more expensive against the background of a limited offer.
At the same time, the prices of vegetables show the season dynamics: the products of the new harvest are getting cheaper, and the old ones are becoming more expensive. The cost of retail onions reached 40 UAH/kg, which was 33% over a month ago, and 32% more expensive than last year.
Old potatoes cost an average of 38 UAH/kg, adding 10% per month (+33% per year).
At the same time, new yield vegetables will appear in the market, showing pressure on prices. Thus, young cabbage fell 66% per month up to 25 UAH/kg (but 64% more than last year). Prices for cucumbers continue to decline – by a month of 18% and on the average account for 65 UAH/kg, which is 11% cheaper than last year. Tomatoes are maintained at a stable level – about 99 UAH/kg, which is 12% more than a year ago.
Last month, the dairy segment shows a steady dynamic price, which is explained by an increase in the proposal of raw materials. For example, milk fell 2% to 54.3 UAH per 900 ml, cream – of 6% to 33.3 UAH per 200 g, and hard cheese was slightly added to the price (+1%) and cost 631 UAH/kg.
Prices for markets are also stable due to the sufficient amount of production in the market and equal demand. For example, sunflower oil falls at a price of 2% to 75.3 UAH per 850 ml, and sugar – by 1% to 32.7 UAH/kg.
Also, a slight decrease of prices is observed in chicken eggs. Eggs of category C1 per month fall 5% to 68.9 UAH per ten, although in annual measurement their cost remains 79% higher.
Keep in mind that the average Easter kit price in Ukraine in April was 1124.77 UAH, which was 17% more than 2024.
