The director of the local branch of Rosselkhozenter Nazizhizhil Mardvaev announced the export of 4,000 tons from a neighboring Buryatia country.
Russia, faced with lack and increased record in potatoes over the last 20 years, first started buying potatoes in Mongolia. In particular, in April and May, more than 4,000 tons of so -called “second bread” was brought to Buryatia from a nearby state. This was reported by the local publication Baikal-Daily.
The director of the local branch of Rosselkhozenter Nazizhizhil Mardvaev noted that this news has left an “excessive impression”, because the Buryatia potatoes have “grown more than 300 years”, while in Mongolia “they began to do so only in 1960, and most productive in the 2000s”.
“Mongols for centuries have pushed all the potatoes from us,” Mardvaev complained.
According to him, now in a neighboring country, potato cultivation is at a different level compared to Russia.
In addition to new modern equipment, Mongolia has used many old Soviet machines taken out of Buryatia at the price of scrap metal, she complained.
“And these people, who began to grow potatoes yesterday, are now selling us. It is true that the Lord’s way is not accessible,” Russian official summarizes his complaints.
Remember that formal Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko said the potatoes began to disappear into Belarus stores because it was actively sold in Russia.
