The IMF’s mission completed the job with the eighth revision of the program, providing for Ukraine’s tranche for $ 500 million.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal discussed along with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, led by chairman Gavin Gray, further cooperation. The head of government wrote about it on Telegram on Monday, May 26.
Shmygal recalled that seven successful revisions of the IMF program took place, thanks to which Ukraine attracts financial resources to support macroeconomic stability.
“Generally, during the Eff Ukraine program, Ukraine received nearly $ 10.1 billion. Today, a constructive conversation was held about the additional cooperation of Ukraine along with the IMF. The mission of the fund completed the work with the eighth revision of the program, giving a tranche of nearly $ 500 million. We count on a positive result for our state,”
The Prime Minister has confirmed that the government will continue to change the economy, introduce systematic changes, and among the priorities: improving the mechanisms of public investment management, improving customs work, and improving the investment climate.
At the meeting, the parties also discussed Ukraine’s restoration and attract the financial sector to this process, investing in the restoration and use of frozen Russian ownership.
Remember that by the end of March, the IMF completed the 7th revision of the EFF program and provided to Ukraine the eighth tranche of $ 400 million. It was also reported that Ukraine asked the IMF to reduce tranche volume in March.
Generally, in 2025 it was planned to attract $ 2.7 billion from the IMF based on the results of the four quarterly reviews.
