Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergey Marchenko and Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine Masihi Nagome signed an agreement in the form of an exchange exchange, providing for the provision of a loan to our state up to 471.9 billion afternoon Yen (about $ 3 billion). This was announced by the Ministry of Finance on Friday, April 18.
It is noted that this money is part of the rare income of speeding for Ukraine (ERA) G7 countries. The loan will be filed and repaid at the cost of future income received from the Frozen Sovereign property of the Russian Federation.
Financing is given for 30 years. The elevated funds will be directed to support priority budget needs and promote the restoration and development of Ukraine.
“Japan is a remarkable example of international unity, which has become one of Ukraine’s leading partners during our struggle for freedom and dignity. I have expressed deep gratitude to Japan’s government and people for critical support for us and for all the financial assistance we have received from the beginning of the whole -SCALE Russian attack,” Marchenkko said.
He added that in the last three years, Japan has provided budget support to Ukraine for more than $ 8.5 billion.
Keep in mind that in general, the initiative of the G7 countries provides for the allocation of $ 50 billion, where the European Union will provide $ 20 billion.
Earlier in April, Ukraine received the third tranche from the EU, worth 1 billion euros.
