Ukraine will receive $ 3 billion from Japan. Credit funds.

On Friday, April 18, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergey Marcheenko and the Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Massahu Nakagram signed an agreement on the provision of Ukraine to a loan of up to 471.9 billion Japanese (about $ 3 billion). The Ministry of Finance reported this at Facebook.

It is noted that this loan is part of the mechanism of extreme acceleration of income for Ukraine (ERA) of the G7 countries with a total volume of about $ 50 billion. The loan will be served and repaid at the expense of the future profit received from frozen Russian assets.

This financing is ensured for 30 years. Credit money will be aimed at supporting priority budget needs and promoting the reconstruction and development of Ukraine.

The head of the Ministry of Finance noted that over the past three years, Tokyo has already provided budget support for Kyiv in the amount of more than $ 8.5 billion.

Recall that on October 23, 2024, the G7 countries agreed to a loan of 50 billion dollars. For Ukraine, provided with profit from frozen assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. This step opens the way to provide the necessary assistance to Kyiv and protect critically important financing from the influence of the results of the US presidential election.
