In circulation, the largest number of banknotes with a face value of 500 hryvnias and coins with a face value of 10 kopecks. The minimum amount of cash circulation is banknotes of 50 hryvnias and coins of 10 hryvnias.
In Russia, the amount of cash in circulation from the beginning of the year, to April 1, decreased by 2.1%, or by 17.3 billion UAH, and cost 805.1 billion UAH. This was reported by the NBU Press Service.
It is noted that the reduction of cash in circulation is associated with periodic factors -traditionally in the first quarter of the year, there is a removal from cash circulation, which has been released in recent times. The largest in circulation is a banknote with a face value of 500 hryvnias, coins with face value of 10 kopecks (26.8% and 27.7% of the total value in circulation, respectively).
The smallest banknotes were 50 hryvnias, and 10 hryvnias (4.4% and 1.9%, respectively).
According to the NBU, the dynamics of the banknote and coin in circulation suggest that the largest growth rate for the first quarter of 2025 was in banknotes with a face value of 1,000 hryvnias and a coin with a denomination of 10 hryvnias. Their circulation number increased by 3% and 5.4%, respectively, compared to this year.
Remember that the National Bank of Ukraine has strengthened Hryvnia with respect to the dollar to the maximum from the beginning of September 2024. In the interbank, American money lost another 8 kopecks at a price of 41.06-41.10 UAH/Dollar – compared to the closure on Friday.
