In Uzhgorod, McDonald’s first restaurant was opened in Transcarpathia. On Saturday, April 12, the leader of Transcarpathian Ova, Miroslav Biletsky said.
“From now on, the McDonald’s restaurant has been working on Transcarpathia. So far, our region has remained united in Ukraine where there is no institution of the world’s famous network,” Biletsky said.
According to him, the institution will have 80 jobs.
The OVA leader mentioned that it was the 23rd restaurant of McDonald’s, which opened after the start of a full aggression.
“Another soon will appear in Mukachev. It’s a serious signal for business as a whole: You can invest in the Ukrainian market,” he emphasized.
Biletsky added that this is, in particular, about the desirable investment climate and the prospects of regional economic growth as a whole and in the city specifically. “As well as about taxes, jobs and new opportunities for local business to cooperate with the world name company,” he said.
Remember that according to the results of 2023, McDonald’s in Ukraine increased the income four times compared to last year – up to 12.9 billion hryvnias. And in the first half of 2024, McDonaldʼ’s income in Ukraine rose 44% and reached 7.8 billion hryvnias.
