Bosch announced the closure of its two factories in Germany due to a worsening economic situation. The closure will affect more than 500 employees. Bild reported this on Thursday, April 10.
According to the company’s information, factories that specialize in the manufacture of power tools will close as a result of problems with the construction sector and consumer demand for economic demand. The factories in the zebnitsa (Landonium Land) and the LinfelDen-echterdingen (Land-Württemberg Land) will close, where goods such as shock drills, corners of grinding machines and garden equipment are manufactured.
In the future, products will be made in other factories, for example, in a Mishopr (Hungary).
As a result of these changes, more than 500 German employees will lose their jobs.
Thomas Donato, the head of the Bosch Power tool unit, commented: “This decision is difficult for us. Current programs to reduce costs and increase efficiency no longer provide the desired result.”
The company is implementing other programs to reduce jobs, which can threaten thousands of workers.
Trade unions said they actively prevent the closure of the factories and announced the protest promotions.
The closure of Bosch plants is part of a wider European economy, where many companies face difficulties due to low demand and problems in various sectors.
Remember that the American Ford automaker plans to reduce four thousand jobs in Europe until 2027 due to significant losses.
