Ukraine’s antimonopoly committee warned market participants engaged in the manufacture of poultry eggs from increasing prices and creating conditions for the emergence of an artificial deficiency. This was reported by the AMCU press service on Friday, April 4.
Antimonopolists recall that chicken eggs were included in the list of basic goods forming a “consumer basket”.
“So far, in Ukraine there is an increase in their cost of retailing points of retail. This situation is characteristic of poultry eggs, especially on the eve of Easter holidays, when demand for the corresponding product increases,” the department said.
Currently, prices of price change for poultry eggs are conducted.
The egg market is assigned to exported industries. However, increasing the export of exports of goods by reducing its sale volume in the domestic market leads to the emergence of an artificial icing deficiency in Ukraine and increasing prices for them for consumer graduation. Therefore, the AMCU warned market participants against increasing egg prices.
