The reason is the collapse of a railroad – a stainless steel panel. Tesla made sure that service centers would be replaced by a wrong side for free.
Tesla recalled 46,096 cybertruck pickups in the United States due to a defect in the external panel, which could have fallen while driving. Reuters reported this on Thursday, March 20.
This could be a failure for Tesla, as Cybertruck’s success is seen as an important factor for its growth, as the company is fighting the growing competition and decay of the model range, and consumers who face high costs of loans choose less expensive hybrids.
According to the National District Safety Administration (NHTSA), the reason is the collapse of a railroad – a stainless steel panel. Tesla made sure that service centers would be replaced by a wrong side for free.
“The falling panel can be dangerous on the road, increasing the risk of an accident,” the NHTSA explained.
Earlier it was found that cybertruck electric cars were ongoing supplies due to collapse of the metal panel mounted on the roof of the car.
This is not the first time Cybertruck has problems with the panels: Tesla has forced 11 thousand pickup units due to a similar problem in June 2024. According to Bizzycar, since the beginning of 2024, Tesla has 21% of all car tests in the United States, though most of the problems can be removed by the software.
