The number of mobile phone numbers transferred under the MNP service, giving you to switch to service to another operator while maintaining a mobile number, which reached 145 thousand in January.
In January 2025, in the framework of the transfer service of a mobile number (MNP), 145 thousand transfers between operators were conducted. This is the highest indicator for full service availability. This was reported by the National Commission, who practices state regulation in the field of Electronic Communications (NKEK).
“In 2025, the number of numbers transferred continued to grow and in January only reached 145 thousand numbers – about half the number of numbers moved for 2024,” the statement said.
In February, this indicator was almost double – up to 68.54 thousand transfers.
In January 2025, most numbers lost:
-
Kyivstar – 108.65 thousand subscribers (accepted 6.3 thousand);
-

For a few years, statistics are as follows:
-

-
2020 – 65.959 thousand,
-
2021 – 76.408 thousand,
-
2022 – 71.316 thousand,
-
2023 – 142,877 thousand,
-
2024 – 340.635 thousand.
The greatest progress in the activity was observed in December 2024 – 89.04 thousand transferred numbers. At the same time, due to sharp loading in December, the MNP service had to stop for six hours.
In total, in 2024, the largest losses were recorded in Kyivstar – 207.1 thousand numbers (received 16.616 thousand), from VF Ukraine – 109.53 thousand (received 16.616 thousand), in Lifecell – 22.86 thousand (received 269.767 thousand).
Experts note that an increase in MNP’s popularity indicates an exacerbation of competition between operators and increasing subscribers for the quality of communication and service.
Remember that the National Center for Operational and Technical Management of Telecommunication Networks (NCU) has updated the requirements for the base stations of mobile operators in Martial Law.
It has also been known that the latest Wi-Fi 6E standard will be introduced in Ukraine.
Kyivstar, Vodafone and Lifecell have received licenses for new frequencies
