Demand for complex types of electrical steel in the United States is growing, while domestic supplies are limited, which should support premium prices for de -electrical steel produced in the new plant.

The arcelormittal steel company announced the construction of a modern iron production plant in Kalvert, Alabama, to increase production capacities to meet the demands of the US vehicle industry. Reuters reported it.

According to the company, the company can provide up to 150 thousand tons of high -quality electrical steel (Noe) each year used in the manufacture of large vehicles, including pickups and SUVs.

The cost of plant construction is approximately $ 0.9 billion, and the start of production is expected in the second half of 2027, the company said.

It is expected that high demand for cars will remain until 2025, although Donald Trump’s policy to cancel tax benefits for de -electric cars can affect the industry.

Earlier this year in American Texas, a factory was opened making shells for Ukraine. We talk about 30 thousand ammunition for 155 mm howitzers per month.

As you know, the United States plans to achieve the goal of making a 155 mm shell for 100 thousand pieces per month.
