Opendatabot said that more than 18 thousand companies in Ukraine were owned by Russia at the beginning of the great war.
Over the past six months, more than 90 Ukrainian companies have fictitiously removed Russian owners from their registration documents to continue operating in Ukraine, despite a legal ban. Opendatabot reported it.
“More than 18 thousand companies in Ukraine had a Russian owner at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. In the last six months, 93 companies have fictitious Russian owners, in despite the legal ban until May 2024, there are 621 businesses,” the report said.
The highest concentration of such companies was recorded in Kyiv – 47 enterprises (50.5%). In second place is the Odessa region – 8 companies (8.6%), and the third is the Poltava region – 5 companies (5.4%).
Among the types of activity, wholesale trade prevails – 19.4% of companies. Real estate transactions are carried out by 12.9% of enterprises, and 9.7% are engaged in construction.
We remind you that law enforcement officials exposed Ukrainian companies that supplied microchips for missiles and drones to Russia. Enterprises in the regions of Kharkov, Chernivtsi and Odessa, even during a full-scale war, were engaged in providing essential components for Russian weapons.
