Last year, Ukrainians spent UAH 125 billion on the purchase of new cars, which is 18% more than the previous year. This was reported by the Ukravtoprom association.
It was noted that almost half of this amount was collected by cars of only five brands. The most money was paid for cars of the Japanese brand Toyota (18.3 billion UAH), the second result was for BMW (16 billion UAH), the third was for Mercedes-Benz (9.7 billion UAH). Volkswagen took fourth place; Ukrainians spent UAH 9.2 billion on these vehicles;
The top ten most popular brands purchased by Ukrainians also include Audi, Skoda, Lexus, LandRover, and Porsche.
Let us remind you that in Ukraine the demand for Chinese electric cars has increased. Last year, Ukrainians bought about 14.4 thousand passenger cars imported from China. This is 18% more than a year earlier. The majority of passenger cars from China are electric cars (82%).
It was also reported that the Ukrainian fleet of trucks and special vehicles in 2024 was filled with about 12.9 thousand new vehicles, which is 14% more than in 2023.
