In 2024, OJSC Ukrnafta will produce 1.170 billion cubic meters. m of gas, which is 6.5% more than in 2023 (1.097 billion cubic meters) and 1.418 million tons of oil, which is 0.6% more than last year (1.410 million tons). This was reported by the company’s press service.
It was noted that the increase in production by the end of 2024 in oil equivalent reached an additional 70.5 thousand tons of hydrocarbons or 3%: 2.42 million tons compared to 2.35 million tons in 2023.
According to the director of Ukrnafta, Sergei Koretsky, despite the long power outage that limited the production of mechanized oil, the company managed not only to compensate for the natural decline, but also to ensure an increase in the amount of oil and gas.
It was noted that by 2025, Ukrnafta will continue to drill new wells, update equipment, replace Soviet equipment with modern and technological ones from world leaders, and intensify production.
Ukrnafta is the largest oil producing company in Ukraine and the operator of a national network of gas stations. As of March 2024, the company entered into the management of Glusco’s assets and operates a total of 547 filling stations – 462 of its own and 85 under management. The company is implementing a comprehensive program for continuing operations and updating the format of gas stations in its network. Since February 2023, it has issued its own fuel coupons and NAFTA Cards, which are sold to legal entities and individuals through Ukrnafta-Snab LLC. The company owns 92 special permits for the industrial development of deposits. It has 1,832 oil and 154 gas production wells on its balance sheet. The largest shareholder of Ukrnafta is NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine with a share of 50% + 1 share.
In 2022, the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to transfer to the state part of the corporate rights of the company owned by private owners, which is now managed by the Ministry of Defense.
Let’s recall that based on the results of its activities in 2023, OJSC Ukrnafta received a net profit of UAH 23.6 billion.
Ukrnafta has also reportedly launched another high-yield drilling well in western Ukraine. The result more than doubled the forecast: the flow of the well was 54 tons per day, compared to the expected 22.6 tons.
