The majority of businesses were opened by citizens of Turkey, Poland and the USA, mainly in Kyiv, Lvov and Odessa.
In Ukraine in 2024, foreigners registered 1,109 new companies, which is 24% less than in the past. This is proven by data from Opendatabot.
Citizens of 78 countries have opened businesses in Ukraine. Most often, companies are registered by citizens of Turkey (201 business projects), Poland (90), and the USA (89).
Almost half of the new foreign companies are concentrated in Kyiv – 542. It is followed by Lviv (137 companies) and Odessa region (122 companies).
More often, foreign companies in Ukraine are engaged in wholesale trade (255 companies, 23%), computer programming (109 companies, 9.8%) and real estate transactions (86 companies, 7.8%).
Among the registered companies there are those associated with well-known Ukrainian financial and industrial groups (FIGs).
For example, the company Ombri Electrical Energy CO. Limited belongs to a Greek citizen, but part of the Levochkin family group. The owners of AP Bioenergy Complex are citizens of the USA and Austria, but the company is associated with the AVEK concern, which belongs to the Feldman group.
