In the interbank market, the American currency fell in price by 15 kopecks – to 41.99-42.02 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reduced the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia after two days of growth. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, January 22.
Thus, the official exchange rate for Thursday is set at 42.0325 UAH per dollar (-0.1336 UAH). While the euro exchange rate increased significantly – 43.8735 Hryvnia (+0.2316 UAH).
On the interbank market, the American currency fell in price by 15 kopecks – to 41.99-42.02 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar lost 15 kopecks in price and fell to 42.50 hryvnia.
We remind you that the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market remains high. NBU sold more than $1 billion for the second week in a row.
At the same time, it was reported that by the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion, or 8.1%.
