European and American businessmen have assured that they will continue to invest in Ukraine to create new jobs and contribute to post-war economic recovery.
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting with top managers and owners of large American and European companies in Davos, Switzerland. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian leader on Wednesday, January 22.
It was indicated that the meeting was held as part of a panel meeting of the World Economic Forum Head of large enterprises – Ukraine. It was attended by Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo and Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Noël Barrault.
During the meeting, they discussed all possible ways to support Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, ways of aid and investment. Separately, Zelensky spoke about the achievements of the Ukrainian defense industry.
“We have implemented many correct technological solutions. These are drones, electronic warfare systems. Ukraine has produced millions of drones, kamikaze drones, reconnaissance drones. We already use drones in war logistics – we move water , food, medicine using drones. There are many progressive things, which civilization can use in peacetime,” the president said.
In particular, they discussed cooperation in the agricultural sector, investment in Ukrainian education, energy and economy.
The participants of the meeting assured that they will continue to invest in Ukraine to create new jobs and contribute to the recovery of the post-war economy.
Earlier, the media reported that the United States had secretly invested in the production of drones in Ukraine. This work seems to have started after the first Ukrainian counteroffensive in the fall of 2022, when the limits of Ukraine’s conventional capabilities became apparent.
