The average dollar selling rate fell to UAH 42.50, and the euro exchange rate dropped to UAH 44.25.
The hryvnia exchange rate rose against the dollar and euro on the currency market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Wednesday, January 22.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine decreased by 15 kopecks, to 42.50 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by 5 kopecks, to 44.25 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy a dollar for an average of 42.00 Hryvnia, and a euro for 43.55 Hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 42.08-42.11 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 6 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank increased the dollar to Hryvnia exchange rate for the second day in a row at the level of 42.1661 Hryvnia (+0.0110 UAH). The official euro exchange rate is 43.6419 UAH (+0.1421 UAH).
We remind you that the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market remains high. NBU sold more than $1 billion for the second week in a row.
At the same time, it was reported that by the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion, or 8.1%.
