The collected funds will be used to meet the needs of the state budget in 2025 and 2026, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine notes.
The European Union provides 30.6 billion euros of budget support for Ukraine in 2025. In particular, 18.1 billion euros within the framework of the initiative of the G7 countries ERA from the income from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation and 12.5 billion euro within the framework of the Ukraine Facility instrument. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The funds raised will be used to meet the needs of the state budget in 2025 and 2026.
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Sergei Marchenko, in a speech at a meeting of the EU Economic and Financial Council (ECOFIN) in Brussels, noted that the EU will be the largest donor of direct budget aid from February 2022. During this, raised 45 billion euros to finance priority expenditures in the state budget.
The official also noted that in 2024, EU budget aid will account for more than 40% of all external receipts – 16.1 billion euros.
We remind you that Ukraine has signed a memorandum of understanding and a loan agreement with the European Union to attract up to 35 billion euros of macro-financial assistance (MFA).
