A colonel and a general were placed under arrest, suspected of improper defense of the Kharkov region.
The former commander of the 415th separate rifle battalion of the 23rd separate mechanized brigade, Ilya Lapin, was sent into custody, Radio Liberty reported.
The ex-commander of the Operational Tactical Group “Kharkov” Yuriy Galushkin received house arrest with the right to a bail of 5 million UAH. The court partially granted the prosecutor’s request.
According to Public, the judge ordered Galushkin to remain in custody for 60 days with the possibility of bail of 5 million hryvnia. At the same time, Grilles indicates that he was sent under house arrest for two months.
They, along with General Artur Gorbenko, are suspected of negligence, due to which the Russians seized part of the Lipetsk rural territorial community.
The press services of the departments reported on January 20 that SBU and DBR officers detained three officials who “did not ensure adequate protection of the Kharkov region during the enemy’s offensive in May 2024.”
