In the interbank market, the American currency lost another 6 kopecks in price at 42.08-42.11 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine reduced the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia for the third day in a row. This is confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Friday, January 17.
So, the official exchange rate for Monday is set at 42.1257 UAH per 1 dollar (-0.0472 UAH). In turn, the euro has slightly increased in price and is worth 43.3684 hryvnia (+0.0484 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency lost another 6 kopecks in price at 42.08-42.11 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In exchange offices, the dollar fell in price by 15 kopecks – to 42.65 UAH/dollar.
Let’s remember that at the beginning of 2025, the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market will increase again. During the week of January 6-10, the NBU sold $1.039 billion. This is 40% more than last week.
It was also reported that at the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion or 8.1%.
