Beijing accuses American companies of allegedly being involved in arms sales to Taiwan.

China has imposed sanctions against US defense companies for the second time in recent days “to protect national sovereignty, security and interests.” This was reported by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.

On January 14, China introduced restrictions on sanctions against:

  • Inter-Coastal Electronics;

  • System Studies and Simulation;

  • IronMountain Solutions;

  • Applied Technologies Group;

  • Axient, Anduril Industries;

  • Maritime Tactical Systems.

Now sanctions are introduced against:

  • Pacific Rim Defense;

  • AEVEX Aerospace;

  • LKD Aerospace;

  • Summit Technologies.

The aforementioned companies are allegedly involved in arms sales to Taiwan.

According to the penalties:

  • companies are prohibited from engaging in import-export activities related to China and making new investments in the country;

  • company executives are prohibited from entering China;

  • the stay or residence of senior management of companies in China is cancelled.

As already reported, after the American authorities discovered TSMC chips in Huawei technologies, the United States introduced new export restrictions for the Taiwanese company.
