The cost of holidays in Ukrainian winter resorts, compared to last year, has increased by 10-20%.
Attendance at resorts and tourist locations during winter holidays in Ukraine increased by 30-40% compared to last winter. Interfax-Ukraine wrote this on Wednesday, January 15.
As the portal points out, during the New Year, the Ukrainian mountain resorts approached the numbers that were before the full-scale invasion and in some places were 70-80% full.
“Hotel occupancy has increased compared to last year,” the agency said.
It is indicated that the average length of stay of guests in hotels has also increased compared to last year – 3.2 nights and now reaches 4.3 nights. And the number of group bookings increased and became similar to pre-war times.
At the same time, it is indicated that vacations have become more expensive for Ukrainians. Prices for it jumped up to 20%.
In June, the giant Wonsan-Kalma resort complex is set to open on North Korea’s east coast, where DPRK authorities hope to boost the country’s economy. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published footage of the new resort, which was inspected by the country’s leader, Kim Jong-in, with his daughter.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has commissioned his collaborators to build “resorts” on the captured shores of the Sea of Azov. So, he wanted to encourage the Russians to move into the occupied territories and provide civilian cover as a human shield.
