The National Bank increased the dollar exchange rate, although in the interbank market the American currency fell by 10 kopecks to 42.27-42.30 UAH/dollar.
The National Bank of Ukraine has again increased the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia after a brief pause. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, January 14.
Thus, the official exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 42.2734 (+0.0042 UAH). The euro exchange rate has increased significantly and tomorrow will be 43.3218 UAH (+0.1945 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency lost 10 kopecks in price at 42.27-42.30 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks to UAH 43.05.
Let’s remember that at the beginning of 2025, the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market will increase again. During the week of January 6-10, the NBU sold $1.039 billion. This is 40% more than last week.
It was also reported that at the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion or 8.1%.
