By 2024, the Ukrainian electric vehicle market will grow by 38%. In December 2024, Ukrainians bought about 3.8 thousand battery-powered vehicles (new and used), which is 18% less than a year ago. It was reported by Ukravtoprom.
It is noted that in this number there are more than 3.6 thousand passenger cars (-20%) and 124 commercial ones (+59%).
In total, by 2024, more than 51.7 thousand zero-emission electric vehicles (BEV) will be registered in Ukraine, including new and used cars.
Of these, 50,458 electric passenger cars (+37%), commercial – 1,264 units (+64%), as well as two electric buses were registered.
The share of new vehicles in BEV registrations remained at 20%, the same as in 2023.
Among the most popular new electric cars on the market in 2024 is the VW ID.4 with 1,626 units. It was followed by HONDA M-NV with 1,279 units, BYD Song Plus with 1,007 units, NISSAN Ariya with 766 units and ZEEKR 001 with 703 units.
The most popular used electric vehicles are NISSAN Leaf – 5,511 units, TESLA Model 3 – 4,639 units, TESLA Model Y – 4,225 units, VW e-Golf – 2,479 units and HYUNDAI Kona Electric – 2,337 units.
Let’s recall that in November 2024, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet was filled with 3,742 battery-powered vehicles (BEV), which is 13% less than in November 2023.
