In the interbank market, the American currency rose in price by 2 kopecks to 42.32-42.35 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine has again reduced the exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar. The American currency renewed its historic maximum for the fourth day. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, January 8.
Thus, the official exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 42.2361 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0064 UAH). In turn, the euro fell sharply in price, and on Thursday it was worth UAH 43.4272 (-0.4495 UAH).
In the interbank market, the dollar increased in price by 2 kopecks at 42.32-42.35 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the average dollar exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks to UAH 42.75.
We remind you that at the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion or 8.1%.
It was also reported that over the past week the National Bank has drastically reduced support for the Hryvnia. The lowest amount of currency was sold in the interbank market for the month.
