Compared to December 2023, state budget expenditures in December 2024 increased by 28.5%, including 23.7% for the general fund.
By the end of December, monetary expenditures of the state budget of Ukraine reached a record of 704.7 billion UAH, compared to 426.3 billion UAH in November. Interfax-Ukraine reported this with reference to data from the Ministry of Finance on Monday, January 6.
Compared to December 2023, state budget expenditures in December 2024 increased by 28.5%, including 23.7% for the general fund.
At the same time, in December, thanks to significant external assistance, state budget revenues reached UAH 470.4 billion compared to UAH 302.6 billion in November. In particular, for the general fund they increased to UAH 286 billion from UAH 220 billion in November.
Overall, according to current data from the Ministry of Finance, in 2024 the state budget received UAH 3 trillion 120.5 billion in revenue, which is UAH 448 billion or 16.8% higher than the 2023 state budget .
For the general fund, revenue growth reached UAH 513.9 billion, or 30.9% – up to UAH 2 trillion 177 billion, in particular, international financial assistance in the form of grants reached UAH 453.6 billion compared to UAH 433.9 billion in 2023 year.
As for state budget expenditures, in 2024 they increased compared to 2023 by UAH 464.5 billion, or by 11.6% – to UAH 4 trillion 479.3 billion, including for the general fund – by 15%, or of 454.5 billion UAH – up to 3 trillion 488.8 billion UAH.
As is known, the state budget 2025 was approved with revenues of UAH 2 trillion 327.1 billion, including the general fund – UAH 2 trillion 133.3 billion (excluding grants and international aid), and expenses of UAH 3 trillion 929.1 billion, including the general fund – UAH 3 trillion 591.6 billion.
