The company stopped publishing information about electricity trading on its website and Telegram channel.
The state-owned Market Operator has closed data on electricity market trading since December 30. This is reported on the company’s website.
“Considering the military situation in the state and the enemy’s attempts to destroy our energy infrastructure, the JSC Market Operator, from now on, stops publishing information about the next day’s electrical energy trading and intraday market on its website and telegram channel,” the statement said.
The market operator is responsible for organizing electricity trade and ensuring a balance between electricity supply and demand.
The day-ahead market (DAM) is the central segment of the electric energy market, which forms the price benchmark for all other markets. It carries out the purchase and sale of electrical energy on the day following the trading day at free competitive prices using the principle of marginal pricing.
The intraday market continues to operate after the end of trading in DAM and allows you to adjust trading positions.
We remind you that on December 25, the Russians launched a massive attack on Ukraine. As a result of the attack, energy facilities were damaged.
Since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has carried out more than 1,120 massive attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
