The funds raised will be used to pay the social expenses and humanitarian budget of the state.
Ukraine received $485 million from the United States and the World Bank as part of the PEACE in Ukraine project. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced this on Telegram on Friday, December 27.
According to him, $465 million was given by the American side through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Another $20 million came from the World Bank.
“The raised funds will be used to cover the social and humanitarian costs of the state budget. Thanks to the United States, USAID and the World Bank for the significant support of Ukrainians,” the head of government said.
We remind you that on December 24, Ukraine received $1 billion from the United States. So, Washington began paying money to Kyiv within the limits of a $20 billion loan.
On the same day, Ukraine received another $1 billion from Great Britain and Japan.
