The average dollar selling rate in Ukraine remained at 42.20 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate was at 44.20 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate stabilized against the dollar and euro on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Friday, December 27.
Thus, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine remained at the level of 42.20 Hryvnia, and the exchange rate of the euro was at the level of 44.20 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 41.70 UAH, and euros for 43.50 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.85-41.88 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank reduced the dollar to Hryvnia exchange rate for the third day after the historical maximum – UAH 41.8447 (-0.0176 UAH). The official euro exchange rate is UAH 43.5122 (-0.0037 UAH).
We remind you that last week the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market rose to its highest level since May 2022. The NBU sold a record 1.417 billion dollars on December 16-20.
As you know, on December 12, the National Bank unexpectedly increased the discount rate. The regulator made this decision in response to inflation rising to 11.2% in November.
