In the interbank market, the American currency lost 5 kopecks in value and fell to 41.88-41.91 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine lowered the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia after it updated its historical maximum four times in a row. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Friday, December 20.
The official exchange rate for Monday is set at UAH 41.8761. for 1 dollar (-0.0531 UAH). The euro also fell in price and will cost UAH 43.5114 (-0.0656 UAH).
Today on the interbank market, the American currency lost 5 kopecks in value and fell to 41.88-41.91 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate decreased by 5 kopecks to UAH 42.10.
We remind you that since the beginning of the year, the dollar exchange rate has increased by almost 4 hryvnias (10.3%) from 37.98 UAH/dollar on December 31, 2023.
It was also reported that over the past week the NBU sold more than $1 billion in the interbank market – the highest volume in the past six months. Since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold more than $31 billion.
