The average dollar selling rate decreased to 42.10 hryvnia, while the euro exchange rate decreased to 44.10 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange continued its growth against the dollar and the euro on the last working day of the week. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Friday, December 20.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine decreased by 5 kopecks to 42.10 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate immediately fell by 30 kopecks to 44.10 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 41.60 UAH, euros for 43.40 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.85-41.87 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 9 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank for the fourth time in a row increased the dollar to Hryvnia exchange rate to a historical record – 41.9292 Hryvnia per 1 dollar (+0.0244 UAH). The official euro exchange rate is 43.577 UAH (-0.3811 UAH).
We remind you that since the beginning of the year, the dollar exchange rate has increased by almost 4 hryvnias (10.3%) from 37.98 UAH/dollar on December 31, 2023.
It was also reported that last week the NBU sold more than $1 billion in the interbank market – the highest volume in the last six months. Since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold more than $31 billion.
