The European Council expressed support for the implementation of the Ukraine Facility program, according to which in 2025 Ukraine will receive 12.5 billion euros.
By 2025, payments to Ukraine from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program will reach 12.5 billion euros. This is stated in the conclusions of the European Council, Interfax-Ukraine reports on Thursday, December 19.
“Payment from the Ukraine Facility is expected to reach €12.5 billion by 2025. In addition, the European Council welcomes the rapid implementation of the €45 billion G7 ERA initiative to support current and future military, budget and Ukraine’s recovery needs. As part of this initiative, the European Union plans to start payments in January for a total of 18.1 billion euros in 2025,” the document said.
At the same time, EU leaders said that all relevant legal and financial aspects will continue to be considered.
Let’s recall that on February 1, EU leaders agreed on a €50 billion support program for Ukraine called the Ukraine Facility. It is designed for the period of 2024-2027. Receipt of funding for the Ukraine Facility is contingent upon Kyiv’s fulfillment of 100 quarterly indicators.
Yesterday, Ukraine received a tranche of 4.1 billion euros from the EU under the Ukraine Facility program.
