In the interbank market, the price of the American currency increased by 7 kopecks, up to 41.77-41.79 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine reduced the exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar and the euro. The value of the American currency updated its historical record, according to data on the regulator’s website on Monday, December 16.
So, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 41.7403 UAH (+0.1333 UAH). The previous maximum was recorded on December 4 – 41.6972 UAH/USD.
In turn, the euro also rose in price and was worth 43.8064 UAH (+0.0691 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency rose in price by 7 kopecks, at 41.77-41.79 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar immediately added 20 kopecks in value – 42.00 UAH.
Remind us that last week the NBU sold more than $1 billion in the interbank market – the highest volume in the past six months. Since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold more than $31 billion.
As you know, on December 12, the National Bank unexpectedly increased the discount rate. The regulator made this decision in response to inflation rising to 11.2% in November.
