Elon Musk’s SpaceX has taken an official step toward creating a new Starbase city in Texas.
American billionaire and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has announced the official relocation of the company’s headquarters from California to the new Starbase city in Texas. He wrote this on the social network X on Friday, December 13.
“SpaceX is now officially headquartered in Starbus, Texas,” the statement said.
Musk also published a letter from the company addressed to a local judge asking for a vote on granting city status to the Starbase spaceport in Texas, where SpaceX launches its rockets.
Recall that in July, Musk announced that he would move the headquarters of two of his companies – the social network X and SpaceX – from California to Texas due to the law of gender identity adopted in California.
As reported, on December 11, SpaceX and its investors agreed to buy shares worth $1.25 billion. The deal, which values the company at about $350 billion, makes SpaceX the world’s most valuable privately held startup.
