At a meeting on December 4, the Rada adopted bill No. 9256-abolishing the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRAIL) and strengthening control over the gambling business. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalization Mikhail Fedorov.
The essence of the law is to reorganize the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRAIL) and remove the human factor from the process of granting licenses. Digitize licenses to automate issuance, according to clear criteria, and start implementing an online tracking system.

According to deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the adopted law provides for a ban on gambling advertising with some exceptions: at night on television and radio, in the media and in search engines with a target audience over 21 years old.
It is also prohibited to offer or reimburse expenses for gambling, make phone calls or send mass messages, or offer free bonuses in exchange for placing a bet.
The participation of military personnel, volunteers, famous people, as well as the use of war-related themes are prohibited in advertising.
Sponsorships other than sports are prohibited. Spending and playing time limits are set, as well as mandatory breaks.
We remind you that in May the government adopted a resolution to limit gambling and its advertising on the Internet.
It has also been reported that the National Security and Defense Council has adopted several gambling decisions that limit the activities of online casinos.
