Grant support under the program will be provided through four authorized banks: Ukrgasbank, Oschadbank, Sense Bank and Bank Lviv.
In December, a grant program to support the energy resilience of micro and small enterprises in Ukraine, funded by the governments of Norway and Germany, will begin. The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reported this on November 28.
It is planned to give entrepreneurs 2 million euros for the purchase of energy-efficient production equipment, equipment for autonomous energy sources and its storage, as well as partially (10%) for -installation and maintenance of such equipment.
The program is implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, the Ministry of Finance explained.
As mentioned, support under the program will be provided through four authorized banks: Ukrgasbank, Oschadbank, Sense Bank and Bank Lviv.
The program for businesses will be implemented in two parts:
Grants for micro-enterprises up to 10,000 euros without having to combine them with bank loans. At the same time, attracting loans to finance investment projects is quite possible;
Grants for small businesses up to 20,000 euros, provided with bank loans. Upon successful implementation of an investment project, a small business receives compensation in the amount of up to 40% of the current loan amount received to finance the business.
According to Andrei Gapon, Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, to receive a grant under the program for maintaining energy resilience, representatives of micro and small businesses must fill out an application on the portal of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund Financial Support Navigator, where they must indicate information about business performance indicators and the level of its electricity consumption. It is also necessary to determine clear directions for the use of grant funds, which cannot be changed with additional funding of the business.
We remind you that in Norway, the government, after consultations with the opposition, proposes to increase aid to Ukraine in 2025 to 30 billion Norwegian kroner ($2.7 billion) from 27 billion kroner this year.
