The Cabinet of Ministers has already spoken to the President regarding the speedy signing of this law.
State budget laws for 2025 and changes to the tax code will be signed in the coming days. They will take effect on December 1. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced this in a telethon on Wednesday, November 17.
“The government has appealed to the president about the rapid signing of these laws. They are one of the main demands of our creditors Ministers mentioned.
Shmygal added that after signing these laws, the Cabinet of Ministers will receive additional resources for the purchase of weapons, ammunition and salary payments to the Security and Defense Forces.
We remind you that on October 10, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill to increase taxes. This law stipulates an increase in military taxes from the salaries of citizens from 1.5% to 5%. The military tax for military personnel remains at 1.5%.
Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko said that thanks to the tax increase, budget revenues will increase by 141 billion Hryvnia.
