Russia decided not to export gas to Austrian company OMV after OMV won an arbitration court.
The Russian gas giant Gazprom, from Saturday, November 16, will stop supplying natural gas in transit through Ukraine to the Austrian company OMV. It was reported by Reuters.
“The Austrian company OMV has been informed by Gazprom that the Russian gas producer will reduce natural gas supplies to zero from 05:00 GMT on November 16, according to information published on the CEGH Remit platform on Friday, ” said the material.
The amount of natural gas affected by the decision amounts to 7,400 MWh/year.
Gazprom declined to comment when asked by reporters.
We remind you that the Austrian oil and gas company OMV won a claim in the arbitration court for 230 million euros against the Russian Gazprom in a dispute over the interruption of gas supplies under a “German” that contract. OMV does not rule out that Gazprom could stop gas supplies to Austria because of this.
