Next year, Ukrenergo’s tariff will increase by 25.8% – up to 665.26 UAH/MWh. And it is lower than the company’s offer.
The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities (NEURC) has pre-approved a project to increase the tariff for electricity transmission for Ukrenergo. This was learned following a meeting on Wednesday, November 13.
It is indicated that in 2025 the Ukrenergo tariff will increase by 25.8% – up to 665.26 UAH/MWh. This is lower than the proposal of the company, which proposed to raise this tariff to 780.41 UAH/MWh.
Also, NEURC approved a reduction in transmission tariffs of Ukrenergo for “green” metallurgy by 3.3% – to 352.73 UAH/MWh and for dispatch – by 9.0%, to 95.07 UAH/MWh.
It was noted that the expected volume of electricity delivery to Ukrenergo is determined at 98.651 million MWh.
When calculating cost items, the dollar exchange rate of 44.5 UAH/dollar and the euro exchange rate of 48.51 UAH/euro are taken into account.
The NEURC decision is still subject to further discussion for final adoption.
We remind you that on October 1, NEURC began to change the maximum price for electricity “the next day”, the intraday market and the balancing market. Then it was argued that the upcoming decision “will not in any way affect the fixed level of electricity prices for the population.”
As is known, from June 1, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers significantly increased electricity tariffs for the population – up to 4.32 UAH/kWh. At the same time, the maximum price for electricity for business in Ukraine has increased.
At the end of September, it became known that Ukraine temporarily increased the electricity tariff for consumers of the “last resort” supplier.
