Ukraine imported 2,100 tons of chilled and frozen pigs in January – October 2024, which is 5.5 times less than in the same period last year. This was reported by the expert Association Pig farmers of Ukraine.
As expected, by the end of the year, Ukraine will set a new record minimum for pork imports, beating the previous one – 5,200 tons, which was recorded in 2018.
It is noted that the share of imported pork in the Ukrainian market has decreased to 1%.

Reportedly, Ukraine exports the majority of pork (75%) to the United Arab Emirates. The rest in small quantities in Bahrain, Malaysia, Liberia, Hong Kong and Angola, continue to consolidate veterinary certificates in South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam and other countries.
