Direct budget support from the United States has reached $28.2 billion since February 2022. This is the largest financial aid to Ukraine among all countries in the world.
Ukraine received a grant of $1.35 billion from the United States Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this on Telegram on Wednesday, November 13.
“The US government has directed funding through the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and in coordination with the US Treasury Department, US State Department,” he wrote.
According to the head of government, these funds will be used for priority humanitarian and social programs.
In this regard, the Ministry of Finance reported that this year budget support from the United States is provided in the amount of $7.8 billion, of which $5.2 billion has already been implemented. At the same time, direct budget support from the United States since February 2022 has reached $28.2 billion. This is the largest financial aid to Ukraine among all countries in the world.
We remind you that the World Bank will give Ukraine $750 million. The funds are allocated within the Supporting Recovery through Smart Fiscal Management (SURGE) project.
