Amazon AWS has been actively supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the entire Russian invasion. The company helped save Ukraine’s digital infrastructure.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine presented the Sign of Peace award to Amazon. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Development in the Telegram on Wednesday, July 6th.
It was noted that the Sign to the World is an award introduced by the President of Ukraine for companies and corporations, government, officials, politicians in the world who have mainly supported Ukraine and helped in the fight against the Russian aggressor.
Amazon AWS has been actively supporting Ukraine since the full-scale invasion began. The company helped rescue our digital infrastructure during the war. In particular, the migration of Ukrainian state registers and critical databases to the Amazon AWS cloud environment is critical. And from the early days of the war, it banned the registration of new customers from Russia and Belarus, the report said.
Also during the meeting in Lugano, Switzerland, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov spoke with Liam Maxwell, Director of State Transformation of Amazon AWS, further cooperation in the areas of digital lending and post -war reconstruction of Ukraine.
Maxwell said the company is ready to help with technological solutions for the digitalization of the public sector and judicial system.
Recall that Google was the first to receive the World Sign award from Ukraine. Mikhail Fedorov personally presented it to the company’s vice president, Karan Bhatia.
